The following individuals make up the Nakba Tour’s growing Board of Advisors.
Dr. Hanan Ashrawi - Called one of the most influential women in the Arab world, Dr. Hanan Ashrawi is an elected member of the Palestinian Legislative Council and and the Palestine Liberation Organization, and the founder of MIFTAH, the Palestinian Initiative for the Promotion of Global Dialogue and Democracy.
Professor Francis Boyle - Francis Boyle is a world-renowned scholar of international law. A professor of international law at University of Illinois, Boyle earned his J.D. at Harvard Law School and has served as a legal advisor to the Palestine delegation to the Middle East Peace Negotiations, the attorney for plaintiffs in the Sabra & Shatila Massacre, a Special Prosecutor of the International Tribunal of Indigenous Peoples and Oppressed Nations in the U.S.A, and the legal advisor to several governments. He is the author of The Palestinian Right of Return under International Law.
Dr. Samia Khoury is one of the founding member of the board of Trustees of Birzeit University and the Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Centre. She is the author of Reflections from Palestine: A Journey of Hope. She was President of the YWCA in Palestine and head of al Zuhour Kindergarten in Jerusalem.
Sunaina Maira - Sunaina Maira is Professor of Asian American Studies at the University of California at Davis, and is affiliated with the Middle East/South Asia Studies program and with the Cultural Studies Graduate Group. Her research and teaching focus on Asian American youth culture and the politics of cultural production as well as political mobilization and transnational movements challenging militarization, imperialism, and settler colonialism. She is the author of Desis in the House: Indian American Youth Culture in New York City and Missing: Youth, Citizenship, and Empire After 9/11.
David Rovics - David Rovics is a Folk Musician and member of the American Federation of Musicians Local 1000. As a singer/songwriter, Rovics is an outspoken critic of George W. Bush, the Republican Party, and the Democratic Party and supportive of Palestine’s struggle for freedom.
