A Call to Organizers Supporting Palestinian Refugees and their Right of Return

Over the last four years that the North America Nakba Tour has been touring, the message that the Palestinian refugees want and deserve the return of their stolen land and property has been well received by many communities across North America.

This year, a new team consisting of four young outstanding women will be traveling around the USA to speak about their lives and what it is like to be a stateless Palestinian.

Invite these stateless Palestinian refugees to speak in your community.

The following schedule is very flexible and can be re-arranged quite easily as this year’s tour will be primarily navigated by air travel.

March 2 – 17           Bay Area, SoCal, Pacific NW, Alaska…
March 18 – 31         Western States to the Midwest…
April 1 – 14              Southern States…
April 15 – May 4      East Coast, Northeast…

All locations in the USA are immediately available for bookings.

We need your help to tell their story:

•Book a spot!

  1. Send a deposit of $300 in advance to reserve your event.  This is not refundable if you cancel your event.
  2. Provide the cost of airfare for 3 speakers TO your city (we will assist with scheduling and logistics).  This cost can be shared by all the events in your area.
  3. Provide all costs of their stay, including lodging, meals, ground transportation, logistics, etc. Homestays and shared rooms are very acceptable.
  4. Provide honoraria for the speakers, payable to Nakba Tour. The amount of your deposit can be deducted from that amount.  We will need an average of $500 per event, but we are willing to accept less at some events if it is offset by more generous amounts at others and generous donations from other sources.
  5. Universities, student groups and other educational organizations can reduce their cost by cooperating with other groups in the area, which can cover more of the local costs while the educational organization pays the full cost of the airfare and the honorarium of their event, which is somewhat negotiable.

Costs for hosting an event:

Our costs are estimated to be $1500 per event. We need to raise these funds to make the tour possible, but we are asking each host of an event along the tour to provide a minimum payment of $500.  If you, your organization or institution can afford more, there is no doubt that we will need it.  We want to ensure the event affordable for student groups and others that cannot afford to pay the total cost.  We also hope to raise much of the cost from generous donors that may or may not be on the tour route.  We will need $300 in advance to reserve your event and the remaining balance at the event itself. We also ask you to provide lodging and meals for the speakers during their visit to your community (homestays and shared rooms are very acceptable).

Universities are asked to provide a minimum of $500 honorarium and make similar housing and meal arrangements. We will also make informational materials available for use along the tour. Go to nakbatour.com for more information or email us at info@nakbatour.com.
